“The way the country saved itself and helped the world recover is a turning point,” the PM said.
“As a new world order is taking shape, there is an insistence on mutual cooperation and not military prowess,” the PM said. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he added, “Every nation has a message to deliver, ambition to fulfil, a destiny to reach.”
“Since a new world order is taking shape, India can’t sit idle in a corner. We can’t rely on the power of our population alone. We shall have to make the nation self-reliant and work for human welfare,” he said.
Referring to the speech of Congress MP Manish Tewari that god saved the country from the pandemic, the PM said it was true as god came in different forms like doctors and nurses.
